It's All in The Details

To truly appreciate the quality of our cabinetry, it is crucial to pay close attention to the smallest details. This is what sets our craftsmanship apart and ensures superior quality. Every component of our work is meticulously built and finished in our shop, guaranteeing precision and attention to detail. Once completed, our fully finished cabinets are installed in your home or business, completing the seamless process. We take pride in building our own doors, which allows us to maintain consistent color and grain throughout. Additionally, we construct our own dovetail drawers, further exemplifying our commitment to excellence. When searching for cabinets, it is important to consider the quality of materials and craftsmanship, rather than focusing solely on cost. By asking about the construction materials and techniques, you will truly understand the value and longevity of our cabinets.

Wood Quality

With cabinetry production, the quality can greatly vary. Some companies opt for substandard wood or even particleboard in less visible areas. However, we pride ourselves on doing things differently. We exclusively source the highest quality hardwoods, which are carefully raised to the perfect age. These hardwoods then go through a slow kiln-drying process to achieve the ideal moisture content, ensuring durability and preventing any splitting issues. To maintain this optimal moisture level, it is crucial for your home to maintain a humidity level ranging between 25% and 55%. Our commitment to using superior materials and upholding proper conditions guarantees that our cabinetry will provide years of solid and reliable use.

Face Frame Construction

We take pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our face frames. Each one is meticulously constructed using blind mortise and tennon joints, ensuring a strong and durable structure. We believe in traditional woodworking techniques and do not rely on pocket screws or dowels like some others might. Our commitment to using time-tested methods ensures that our face frames are not only beautiful but also built to last.

Cabinet Box Construction

Our cabinetry is built to last, with sturdy construction using high-quality materials. The sides, bottoms, and tops are made from a 3/4 inch veneer core plywood, ensuring durability and stability. Unlike many large production cabinet manufacurers, we don't cut corners by using cardboard or particle board. The backs of our cabinetry are also made from a 1/4 inch veneer core plywood, providing added strength. For a polished look, we use a 3/4" combi-core plywood for the finished sides. This plywood is made with Aspen inner-plies and two outer crossbands of top-notch MDF, with decorative face and back veneers. It boasts 100% void-free crossbands and a thicker veneer, resulting in enhanced finishing characteristics. Our shelves are adjustable and 3/4" thick, ensuring they can support heavy items without sagging. With our cabinetry, you can expect quality and longevity.

When searching for cabinets, it is important to consider their construction. It is not enough to just look at the outward appearance of the cabinets; one should also inspect the interior and box construction. Some companies may employ fancy solid wood exteriors but resort to using particle board or melamine particle board for the interior, which can deteriorate, especially when exposed to water sources like sinks. These companies cut corners by using cheap box construction methods and materials. Additionally, some companies may use ½ inch thick material, which is not as strong as ¾ inch. I strive to use the most affordable material that still maintains the highest quality standards.

Door Construction

We take pride in constructing our doors internally, ensuring that we meet your specific preferences. Whether you prefer raised panels or flat panels, we have a variety of profiles to choose from. Additionally, we are capable of crafting arched raised panel doors for those seeking a more unique design. Our commitment to quality is evident in our five-piece construction, guaranteeing a durable and long-lasting product. Furthermore, we use only solid wood panels in the construction process, ensuring the authenticity and high-quality of our doors. With our in-house production, we are able to offer you customizable options and exceptional craftsmanship.

Drawer Construction

Our drawers are designed to withstand the test of time and maintain their shape for generations. We ensure this by incorporating dovetail joints on both the front and back of the drawers, providing superior strength and durability. The drawers are constructed with a 3/4 inch side and back thickness, further enhancing their stability. When you examine the back, bottom, and sides of our drawers, you will notice the use of high-quality materials such as oak or maple, ensuring a long-lasting and attractive finish from every angle. Additionally, we prioritize functionality by offering undermount drawer slides made by Blum. These slides not only provide smooth and effortless drawer operation but also have a soft closing mechanism, preventing loud slamming and minimizing the risk of pinched fingers.

Adjustable Rollout Shelves

Rollout shelves are an essential feature in cabinet construction, offering convenience and accessibility. These shelves are designed to slide out smoothly, providing easy access to items stored at the back of the cabinet. They are a practical solution for organizing and maximizing storage space. The rollout shelves are constructed with high-quality materials, ensuring durability and longevity. The shelves are custom-made to fit specific cabinet dimensions, ensuring a perfect fit. With their sturdy construction and smooth functionality, rollout shelves are a must-have addition to any well-designed cabinet. Whether used in kitchen cabinets or bathroom vanities, these shelves are a game-changer, making it effortless to maintain an organized and clutter-free space.
